Mississippi Author Visits Meridian

Updated: Sat 11:57 PM, Dec 22, 2012

A Mississippi author visited the Queen City to sign copies of her book dealing with a number of struggles.

Ramona Bridges signed copies of "Sweet By and By" on Saturday at Books-A-Million. The book centers around a woman facing a series of tragedies and losses that challenge her will and test her faith, including an abusive drunk husband, an invalid mother whose health continues to fail, and a son banished from home. Bridges says she loves to be able to get out and see those interested in the book.

"The book is set in the late 1800's in Mississippi," Bridges previews. "A very southern read. It's got its self and humor, a lot of twists and turns, and it does turn into somewhat of a love story, and it is in the genre of historical Christian fiction."

Bridges currently lives in Seminary, Mississippi.
