Mississippi Part of FBI Sting

Ten people have been arrested and a child prostitute rescued in Mississippi as part of a nationwide FBI operation.

That operation netted 150 arrests and rescued more than a hundred children forced into prostitution nationwide.

Arrests were made in 76 different cities and 47 different FBI divisions, including Jackson.

Investigators say Mississippi had the fourth highest number of arrests in the nation. Only Detroit, San Francisco and Oklahoma City had more.

"It would be easy enough to look through the eyes of the children, who are saying, 'who cares about me?" said Ron Hosko of the FBI. "Well, we are standing in front of you today saying that we do. Law enforcement does."

Those arrested over the weekend are facing a range of federal and state charges, including offenses related to human trafficking, coercion, and commercial sex.
