Gov. Phil Bryant says the state of Mississippi will appeal a federal court ruling on a 2012 abortion law.
Bryant says he and the attorney general will work together to get the ruling by the5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel overturned.
On a 2-1 vote, the panel struck down a law that required abortion clinic physicians to have admitting privileges at a local hospital.
Physicians at Mississippi's only abortion clinic, located in Jackson, do not have admitting privileges at any hospital there.
