Meridian, Miss. Recent information in Lyndell Pritchard's past shows that this is not his first run in with law enforcement officers. In June of last year, Pritchard along with seven others were arrested for a shooting incident in Western Gardens Apartments where he was being held on a one million dollar bond before a city judge dismissed the charges due to lack of probable cause. More recently, Pritchard was arrested for connection with a shooting that happened in February on 19th street, where he was charged with aggravated assault and was held o n a one hundred thousand dollar bond. Detective Dareall Thompson of the Meridian Police Department says when the shooting over the holiday occurred he was out on that bond. Thompson tells me that Pritchard is now awaiting a hearing for the murder of a 19 year old over the holiday weekend. According to police investigation, they can confirm that the teenager was in the line of fire and that the bullet was not meant for him.

"You can only be aware of where you're going and who you're going to be around," says Thompson. "It's hard to determine, you don't know if you're going to lose your life that day."

Thompson tells me they don't have enough evidence yet to believe this was drug related, but we can confirm according to booking sheets, that Pritchard shares the same address on 42nd street with Decarlos Clark and Veronica Ferguson who were charged with accessory after the fact in the fatal shooting of an 87 year old man in Vowell's Parking Lot.

After further investigation and combing through police reports, Newscenter 11 found out that Pritchard has been arrested countless times stemming back to 2012. Those charges range from contempt of court, domestic violence, disorderly conduct, numerous accounts of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana. Prior to his weekend murder arrest, Pritchard's most recent arrest was June 30th, just 5 days earlier. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana.

Pritchard is being held with no bond and is scheduled to appear at his initial hearing this Wednesday.
