NAACP Meeting to Touch on School-to-Jail Decree

By  |

Meridian, Mississippi The Meridian-Lauderdale County NAACP will host a community forum on Monday night to discuss ongoing concerns over the alleged school-to-jail pipeline.

This past week, Newscenter 11 reported a federal judge signed off on a decree that will force the Meridian Public School District to more closely examine a student's misbehavior before removing them from school. That decree will be discussed in detail during the meeting.

It is set for 6:30 in the evening at First Union Baptist Church in Meridian.
