NAS Training Squadron Welcomes New Commanding Officer

At Naval Air Station Meridian, Training Squadron Seven is welcoming a new commanding officer.

Commander Steven Delantey, who served as Squadron CO from December 2011 to March 2013, will have a new command and a new commander will take his place.

Commander Michael G. Hritz has now taken over as the new commander for Squadron Seven, the very squadron where he was designated a naval aviator. A change of command ceremony was held on base on Friday.

Commander Ritz has more than 3,000 flight hours and 450 carrier landings.
