Decatur, Miss. One person is in custody in connection with a bomb threat that led to the evacuation of two Newton County schools earlier this week. Newton County High and East Central Alternative School in Decatur were both evacuated due to a note that was discovered about a possible bomb. During a thorough search of both schools by bomb sniffing dogs, no explosives were found.
A suspect in the case was taken into custody Wednesday. Because he's a juvenile his name is not being released. However, Newscenter 11 has learned that he's a 15-year-old student at the alternative school in Decatur. Investigators say another suspect could be questioned in the case later today.
