Newton Municipal School District will have a community-wide prayer meeting in the wake of a student's death.
It will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Newton High School auditorium.
The prayer service is open to the public.
A 17-year old student shot himself in class Friday and later died.
