A Scott County nurse has been arrested and charged with taking drugs from a patient.
27-year-old Jacob David Lee, formerly a registered nurse at S. E. Lackey Critical Access Hospital in Forest, turned himself in to investigators with the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit earlier this week.
Lee was indicted by a Scott County Grand Jury on one count of obtaining a controlled substance by means of fraud.
The indictment alleges that Lee took possession of a quantity of the drug Pethidine, also known as Demerol, a Schedule II Controlled Substance, by changing the physician’s order for a patient and then converting it to his own use.
