Pearl Wal-Mart Receives Bomb Threat

By  |

Pearl, Miss. The evacuation of a Wal-Mart in Pearl on Sunday afternoon left many people there asking questions.

A bomb threat was called into the Wal-Mart Super Center on Highway 80 shortly after 1:00. Pearl Police Chief Ben Schuler says officers did not find any devices inside the store. The parking lot and store were shut down for about an hour. Schuler wasn't sure how many people were inside when the call came in. There have been a rash of bomb threat calls there recently. Schuler says these false calls tie up law enforcement, but must be treated seriously.

So far, no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about this bomb threat is asked to call police.
