Planter Program Beautifies Downtown

With the arrival of spring, Meridian Main Street's downtown planter program is in full swing.

The Meridian Museum of Art has leased two of the terra cotta planters and the flowers were added Friday morning.

Other downtown businesses and agencies are invited to do the same.

Planters have also been placed around city hall and Dumont Plaza.

"The planters represent to me the beauty of the downtown," said museum executive director Kate Cherry. "The design committee has been working on planting the planters all over town and just beautifying our city."

Any business that would like to participate in the planter beautification project may contact Meridian Main Street at 601-693-7480, or visit its website. A link is provided below.
