Meridian, Miss. Meridian's police chief says the department is looking into reports of a number of rapes.
Chief James Lee says investigators have information about more than one rape possibly being committed in recent weeks. But Lee says the claims are only rumors at this point.
Lee told Newscenter 11 Wednesday that residents in the city should not be worried about a serial rapist at this time.
