An inmate was sentenced to more prison time after being convicted of assaulting a Lauderdale County corrections officer in 2012.
Frederick Pritchett was found guilty Wednesday of both aggravated assault of the jailer and robbery for taking the jailer's cellphone.
Pritchett, who is a habitual offender, received 30 years without parole for the assault and 15 years without parole for robbery. The sentences will run consecutively for a total of 45 years.
Pritchett was already serving 45 years for a separate armed robbery and kidnapping.
He was moved to the custody of Mississippi Department of Corrections after the jailer assault, which was recorded by surveillance cameras.
