Pumpkin Patch Festival

Circle S Ranch is in it's eighth year of celebrating Fall in a big way. Between the corn maze, pumpkin patch, and hay rides, there's something for everyone.

"We're having a great time having families out, and that's what it's all about, just to come out and enjoy the Fall weather and the beginning of Fall'" said Patty Swearingen of Circle S Ranch.

Parents and grandparents were out with with their kids and grandkids enjoying the time together. It was the first time at the pumpkin patch festival for many of them.

"We're just coming to look at the pumpkins and ride and have a good time, and eat some catfish."

"We brought our grandbabies out this year."

"We're just having fun. We brought the little one out to come and see the animals and just have a good time today."

"I was riding the little cows and that's all."

There were also some vendors there. Charles Swanson with Sooo Good Homemade Ice Cream says they travel around a lot, but it's their first time at the ranch.

"We live up in Eutaw and this is our traveling money, but we enjoy doing it though. We're out almost every weekend all through the summer."

Meridian Mayor Cheri Barry was also there getting in on the fun.

"I'm here to read to the children this afternoon. There's so many wonderful activities from face painting to petting at the petting zoo, milking cows, feeding the goats. It's a great day for children, good family time."

Today was just the ranch's kickoff for the fall season, so you still have plenty of time to come out.

"We're opening our pumpkin patch and we'll be doing school visits during the week, and then on the weekends we'll be open to the public."
