Former Richland teacher Stacy Walker has pleaded guilty to a sexual battery charge in Rankin County Circuit Court.

WLBT-TV in Jackson reports that Walker entered the plea Wednesday. She will be sentenced at a later date.

Prosecutors say Walker was accused of having sex with a male student, who was 16 years old when the incidents began.

Walker was the boys head soccer coach, girls' assistant soccer coach and an algebra teacher at Richland High School. She was arrested in August of 2012.
