Reeves Addresses Rotary Club

The lieutenant governor was in Meridian Wednesday to talk about issues he says are important for the future of the state.

Tate Reeves spoke to members of the Meridian Rotary Club about issues that are important to the city and other parts of the state.

Reeves' topics included on education, bringing in better and higher paying jobs to the state, and lower taxes for small businesses.

''Our small businesses are so concerned with what's going on in Washington; that's why in Jackson this year we actually moved to cut taxes on small businesses. We reduced the inventory tax," said Reeves.

That proposed tax cut would be roughly $150 million for small businesses.
