Riley Center Says Ticket Sales Encouraging

Meridian, Miss. Tickets for individual shows are now on sale for the spring/summer season at the MSU Riley Center.

According to box office manager, Derron Radcliff, sales are already up by 15% from last season.

"So far ticket sales have gone extremely well," said Radcliff. "We have been extremely busy this morning; the phones are ringing off the hook. So it has been a great response to our spring/summer season. We kick our season off with Rosanne Cash and end it with Motown and we have a little bit of everything for everyone in between. Everything from John Prine to the fabulous Tony Bennett to Eric Benet. We just have a variety of things in our season lined up this year."

Most years, Riley center officials say there will be a couple of shows that rise to the top of the sales at the box office. This year is no exception. Even with an outstanding lineup, a couple of shows are running away.

"Right now we're selling John Prine tickets. He seems to be the runaway show this year. We are selling John Prine tickets like crazy. So John Prine and Tony Bennett are the top two most popular shows of the season so far. Every year we always have a couple of shows that do extremely well."
