Rodeo Finals Coming Back to Philadelphia

If you're looking for a exciting way to kick off the new year, the Southeastern Professional Finals Rodeo will be back in Philadelphia in January.

The Southeastern Professional Rodeo Association held a news conference Tuesday to announce that the rodeo will again be at the Neshoba County Coliseum, Jan. 9, 10, and 11.

The top 15 contestants in the southeast will compete in riding, roping and barrel-racing events.

"So these are the best cowboys and cowgirls in the southeast," said Bill Hudson, SPRA chairman. "These contestants come from all over the southeast: Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Mississippi. So you're getting a chance to see the elite. These are the top 15 contestants. "

Hudson says the atmosphere at the rodeo is upbeat and exciting. Advance tickets are $10 and are available at the Community Development Partnership office at The Depot in Philadelphia and the coliseum's box office.
