Phildelphia, Miss. The second night of the Southern Professional Rodeo Association finals took place Friday in Philadelphia
The top 15 contestants in the southeast are competing in riding, roping and barrel-racing events. Officials say it's a great family event and they are excited to have the cowboys and cowgirls in town.
"We are so glad to have them buying gas, eating at our restaurants, visiting all of our shops downtown, Williams brothers, everything that we have. It's really big for economic development here in Neshoba County," said Kaye Rowell the tourism director of the Community Development Partnership.
The third night of the event starts at seven Saturday night at the Neshoba County Coliseum. It costs 10 dollars for children 12 and under and 12 dollars for adults. Children five and under get in free.
