Being prepared for the unexpected was on the minds of educators in Philadelphia Monday.
Philadelphia Elementary School participated in a lock-down drill to prepare staff and students in case of an emergency. It was initiated around 12:45 p.m.
Superintendent Dr. Terry Larabee said staff went through the steps of a crisis management plan. Then an administrative team reviewed the process to make sure all the procedures were followed properly.
