Search for Tadarius Jones Continues Three Years Later

Meridian, Miss. Thursday marked three years since a Meridian man was last seen.

Family members say Tadarius Jones was last seen on August 14th, 2011. His sisters tell Newscenter 11 they will never give up hope on one day finding Tadarius and say their faith is what keeps them strong and allows them to keep searching for answers. Jatoria Jones and Joquasha Samuel say it is still hard to process how someone they love could have just disappeared.

The car belonging to Tadarius Jones was found on 27th Street not long after he went missing three years ago. His case has been now been featured on national television, but still no sign of Tadarius. His family remains hopeful.

"I mean, you know, he was a happy, joyful person," Jatoria Jones recalls. "You know, he always wanted to make people laugh. You know, he always told jokes. So, I just think about, you know, him being funny. You know, him laughing. You know, just remember him smiling. You know, just telling jokes. So, we just kind of try to hold on to those memories and those things."

The Meridian Police Department is still actively investigating this case and the family remains in close contact with the detectives working this case.
