State testing is right around the corner for students all across our area. Meteorologist Brian Hutton, Jr., helped a class with some of their preparations Tuesday.
He visited Angela Hoover's 8th grade science class at Northwest Middle School in Meridian.
"We have asked Brian to come and visit our class because we are going over weather conditions and weather qualities, and the factors that go into it," said Hoover. "It is a state standard that has to be taught as part of our curriculum, and they will see it again on the state test. I think this puts a real world experience on it."
Brian spoke to the students about critical thinking and how to analyze all the different data and put it together to predict the weather.
