A Meridian hospital is offering a new resource for new mothers.
Anderson Regional Medical Center now offers a breast-feeding support group that meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
Lactation expert Reba Lee says it is a great way for new moms to help one another with something so important in providing their babies with a strong start in life.
"Mothers sometimes need support and encouragement in their breastfeeding journey, as they go," said Lee. "Breastfeeding is so important in so many different ways because of the health benefits in mother's milk."
The support group is free and open to the community. If you would like to find out more information, call 601-553-6034.
