Hattiesburg, Miss.
Authorities say a University of Southern Mississippi student has been released from a Hattiesburg hospital after being stabbed at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house Sunday.

Capt. Rusty Keyes says university police arrested fraternity member Elijah Dollar after responding to a fight call at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Dollar is charged with aggravated assault.

Keyes says the stabbing occurred during an argument that escalated into a fight. The victim has not been identified.

Dean of Students Eddie Holloway says Dollar's fraternity membership has been suspended and the incident remains under investigation.

Keyes says once the campus police investigation is completed it will be turned over to Holloway and the Forrest County District Attorney's office.
