Meridian police say they are investigating an attempted arson.
Officials say both police and fire units responded about 9 p.m. to a residence in the 2200 block of 8th Avenue on a report of an attempted arson.
Police say they discovered someone had used Molotov cocktails to try to burn a vehicle and a house. However, the attempts were unsuccessful.
Police are investigating the incident.
