Thompson Convicted of Wire Fraud

A former Meridian police officer was found guilty of wire fraud Tuesday.

33-year-old Terrell Thompson was convicted of forging a subpoena, while employed as a police officer, in order to obtain his wife’s phone records from AT&T.

The jury deliberated about 25 minutes before returning a verdict.

The case was prosecuted by Stan Alexander and Marvin Sanders, special assistant attorneys general, and investigated by Roger Cribb of the Attorney General’s Public Integrity Division.

Sentencing has been set for Mar. 28 at 1:30 p.m. Thompson faces up to 5 years in prison.
