Thousands of Claims Expected from Hail

Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney says the hail storm that hit Mississippi could result in 35,000 to 50,000 insurance claims.

Chaney says those numbers are based on information provided by insurers and include automotive and property damage claims.

He declined to give an estimate on the dollar amount, saying the claims could range from a couple hundred dollars for a windshield to much more.
