Madison, Miss. Authorities in Mississippi say they have arrested three more suspects in the investigation of photos taken of the ailing wife of U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran.

Madison County District Attorney Michael Guest says Mark Mayfield, a member of the board of the Central Mississippi Tea Party, Richard Sager of Laurel, and John Mary of Hattiesburg were arrested Thursday.

The three men were charged with conspiracy. Sager is also charged with evidence tampering, while Mary faces multiple charges.

Conservative blogger Clayton Thomas Kelly, 28, of Pearl, was arrested last week on allegations that he took the photos of Rose Cochran without her permission at the nursing home where she has lived for 13 years.

Kelly is charged with exploitation, filming without permission and conspiracy.

All appeared in Madison City Court Thursday.

Cochran spokesman Jordan Russell says the campaign had no immediate comment about the new arrests.

However, Cochran's primary opponent, state Rep. Chris McDaniel called on Cochran to stop running what his campaign called a 'slanderous' ad claiming McDaniel was involved in illegal activity.

The Madison County District Attorney has said no one with the McDaniel campaign is involved.
