Jackson, Miss. A woman charged with leading a scheme to kidnap a 6-year-old girl from a Kemper County elementary school has been scheduled for trial Nov. 18.
Jesse Mae Brown Pollard is one of seven people charged in the scheme that authorities say was designed to pressure the child's mother in a land dispute.
Authorities said Pollard is the cousin of the child's mother. Pollard's son, a former basketball player at the University of Alabama, is also among those charged in the case.
The child was taken from East Kemper Elementary School April 30 and turned up unharmed on a rural road in Lauderdale County the next day.
The trial date was scheduled in an order Monday in U.S. District Court in Jackson.
Pollard has pleaded not guilty.
