Two Arrested for Armed Robbery

Meridian police say two suspects have been arrested for an armed robbery Jan. 18.

19-year-old Cordarius Powell and 16-year-old Javontee Terrell, both of Meridian, are charged in
the holdup of the Shell station on North Hills Street and the attempted robbery of Cefco on Highway 19 North.

Bond for both Powell and Terrell was set at $250,000.

Powell has also been charged with two counts of Directing a Youth to Commit a Felony. The bond on those charges is set at $50,000 per charge.
