Meridian, Miss. Meridian police say two people have been charged after a domestic altercation late Tuesday that ended outside a convenience store. It happened about 11:50 p.m. at the Cefco on 24th Avenue at 14th Street.
Officials responded to a call about a fight and shots being fired at the location. The MPD says an investigation indicated the trouble started earlier at a night club.
Police say a woman was stabbed with a knife and a gun was fired into an occupied vehicle. The investigation also revealed that two vehicles belonging to subjects involved in the incident had been used to ram each other.
A Cefco employee quickly called police when he says a man came inside with a gun demanding the keys to an employee's car.
"They got out and started shooting and fighting, and stabbing and beer bottles and stuff. It just was heck," said Lakeith Jones. "He had the gun out, and they gave him the keys."
32-year-old Jermaine Deshawn Cole of Meridian was charged with shooting into a vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Cole's bond was set at $10,000 for each charge. He is also being held for probation violation.
31-year-old Sherita Nicole Love was charged with aggravated assault for the stabbing. Her bond was set at $15,000.
