Two Charged in Drive-By Shooting

Meridian police have charged two people in a drive-by shooting.

Officials say Ogra T. Bell, 28, and 27-year-old Whitney Bell, both of Meridian, have been charged in the Apr. 5 incident.

It happened in the 2900 block of St. Paul Street. No one was injured.

Bond for each suspect was set at $50,000 on that charge.

The MPD says Ogra Bell is additionally charged with simple assault on a police officer in relation to her arrest Thursday. The officer received minor injuries. Bond for this charge was set at $5,000.

Police say Ogra Bell was arrested again Friday and charged with intimidation of a state witness for an alleged incident after she made bond on the shooting charge. Bond on this third charge is
$150,000.
