Waller Speaks Out about Alzheimer's

Mississippi Supreme Court Chief Justice Bill Waller was in Newton Friday to address people affected by Alzheimer's disease.

Family members and friends of those suffering from the condition wore purple and listened to Waller speak at Footprints.

Waller said he's glad to bring attention to Alzheimer's
in hopes that a cure will be found soon. He said the disease can affect anyone.

"In my opinion it may be the top health threat in the world today," said Waller. "And it certainly has affected so many people including my mother and an uncle that has passed away from it. It is unique in that these are true victims; it doesn't matter what your lifestyle is or what you do."

November is National Alzheimer's Awareness Month.

Waller is running for re-election this year.
