The Mississippi Attorney General's Office says a Waynesboro woman has been indicted for insurance fraud.
Officials say 36-year-old Latoya White-Harris turned herself in to investigators of the Attorney General’s Insurance Integrity Unit at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.
The indictment alleges White-Harris submitted false, fraudulent and fabricated sales receipts with the intent to defraud Allstate Insurance Company of $3,170.94 for damage to several items due to rain/wind during Hurricane Isaac.
If convicted, Harris faces up to three years behind bars.
