Choctaw, Miss. An Alabama woman got lucky at the Silver Star Casino, two days in a row.
Charlotte Moncrief of Anniston, Ala., hit $90,000 jackpots on New Year's Day and Jan. 2.
The first came on her first pull on a $100 machine. Moncrief told The Clarion-Ledger she returned the next day, a nearly a 4-hour drive from her home, and won again.
A press release from the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, which owns the Silver Star, called it the luckiest New Year ever.
Moncrief, a retired information technology worker at an Anniston foundry, says she and her roommate have visited the Pearl River Resort about once a month for about eight years.
