Women Support Truck Drivers Protest in Washington

Chunky, Miss. Drivers on Interstate 20 may have noticed a group of women waving American flags from a bridge.

Protesters gathered on the bridge at the Chunky exit on Interstate 20 about 5:30 Friday evening. The women tell Newscenter 11 they are supporting the movement "Truckers 2 Shut Down America." Truckers are traveling to the nation's capital this weekend, seeking the impeachment of President Obama and putting pressure on Congress.

"It's going downhill," Leslie Dora Ponce said. "It's gone downhill. It's getting worse."

The truckers are expected to protest in the Washington area through the weekend.
