Nave Allstate Insurance Agency in Meridian made a large donation to the Youth Excitement Team.
They donated a check for $1,000 to help with the group's activities. The money will help provide supplies for the children's play-yard, art, music, reading and other learning centers.
The president of Y.E.T., Gary Houston, says this will help the organization's efforts to develop the youth of the area.
"Youth Excitement Team has been around since 1996 trying to build strong young people to be productive citizens in our community," said Houston. "We just believe that if you invest in young people early, it will change the climate of our community. It will change the outlook of our society."
