The Young Professionals of Mississippi will have a 2-day summit this week at the MSU Riley Center in Meridian.
State chairman Fredie Carmichael says at the top of the agenda is addressing ways to solve the 'brain drain' and why Mississippi is losing its best and brightest to other states.
Entrepreneurs like Hartley Peavey are among the speakers, along with Gov. Phil Bryant.
"There will be some professional development opportunities, but also ways for these YP groups across the state to talk to each other. What are you doing in your community? And learn from each other ways we can make our communities better in each respective region of the state," said state YP chairman Fredie Carmichael.
The summit is Apr. 25-26 at the MSU Riley Center. You may register online by clicking the link below. Local attendees may qualify for a discounted price by entering the code YPM-MSYP.
