A contracted worker has been badly injured at the Kemper County Coal Plant. Kemper County Sheriff James Moore confirmed an electrician was hurt Monday morning and airlifted off the property. Details were few, but Newscenter 11 talked with Mississippi Power officials who said the man worked for ISC, an electrical contracting company, and suffered an electric burn. He was taken to a Memphis facility for treatment. Mississippi Power spokesman Jeff Shepard says the man was stablized before he left the plant, but did not have further details on his condition. The injured man's name has not yet been released.
