Fall Series of Live Music Kicks Off in Meridian's Dumont Plaza

Meridian, Miss. Downtown Meridian came alive tonight with the fall premiere of live music in Dumont Plaza.
The Al Brown All-Star Band took the stage to kick off the season of "After 5 Alive." The live concerts are presented five Thursday evenings in a row in October and are free to the public.
Volunteer Will Hayes says it's a great event that appeals to all types of people, and highlights the regional music scene. "It's a family event, we're going to have children's activities, said Hayes. "We're going to have beverages. Coca-cola is a sponsor, and Bud Light is a sponsor as well. Live music, free admission, drinks and just family fun! So come on down, it's from 5:00 to 7:30 each Thursday night in October."
Next Thursday evening, the band "Stagolee" will be featured.
