Lauderdale County, Mississippi Northeast High School hosted its "Meet the Trojans" event Tuesday night.
The football team, the cheerleaders, the band, the cross country and softball teams were all introduced to the family and friends in attendance. The softball team and football teams also held scrimmages for the fans. The younger kids also got to enjoy lots of games and food.
"Tuesday night was all about getting the word out that the season's starting, getting underway," said head football coach Curt Blackburn. "It gives our home crowd a chance to come and look at what we've been working on all summer, and it gives us a chance to introduce it to them."
Northeast will take part in a jamboree in Lake against the Hornets this Friday at around 7 p.m. The Trojans will open the regular season at home against Jackson Academy on August 22nd.
