A Christmas Extravaganza
Monday, December 3 – 7 p.m.
Meridian High School Auditorium (Admission is Free)
Concert features students from the MHS Concert Choir, MHS Guitar Ensemble, MHS Freshman Singers, Carver Middle School Choir, Magnolia Middle School Choir, and Northwest Middle School Choir.

Meridian High School Art Club – Christmas Cards for Sale
Beginning Monday, December 3
The MHS Art Club will be selling Christmas Cards that have been made from a selection of paintings. Eight Christmas cards can be purchased for $10.00. A percentage of the sales will be donated to Hope Village.
Carver Middle School Reading Fair

Students’ reading fair projects are due 12/3/12. Judging for the reading fair will take place 12/4/12.

Oakland Heights Elementary Multicultural Arts Day
Wednesday, December 5 – 9:00 a.m.
As part of the school’s Whole Art Initiative, each grade will be represented in a program celebrating the countries (and the state of Hawaii) that they have studied. After the program, each grade will have "booths" set up at various locations around campus displaying art, facts, food, and other aspects of those cultures.
Poplar Springs Elementary Presents "Our Favorite Christmas Stories"

First grade students will present an arts integrated program entitled “Our Favorite Christmas Stories.”
Using drama, music, dance, and visual art, students will share classic children's literature of the season.

Meridian High Visual Art Students Artwork at Kids for Kids Auction

Meridian Museum of Art
MHS Visual Arts students painted eight by eight inch canvases that will be auctioned at the Kids for Kids Auction which is a benefit for Hope Village. Come out to support MHS Students and Hope Village!

Northwest Middle Music Workshop
Monday, December 10
As part of the Whole Arts School Initiative, Derrick Martin will present music workshops to Northwest students through band and chorus classes that focus on the drum and its history in American music with a parallel to how success starts in the classroom. He will also demonstrate drum mastery in all genres of music from jazz to hip hop. Martin is an arts presenter, recording artist, producer, and songwriter.

PSE Auditorium
The PSE Family will celebrate the season of giving with our annual "Giving Feast" for Wesley House. During the month of December, students bring new toys and bikes which will be given to those in need through Wesley House Community Center. PSE students and teachers celebrate the spirit of giving through music, dance, and drama and at the conclusion of the program the curtain is opened allowing students to "see” the power of their giving.
