Greetings Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

It is once again time for our Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Candlelight March and Memorial Service. This is a time that we pause and pay tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr for his many accomplishments and sacrifice of his time, service, and life as a pillar of the Civil Rights Movement.

It is our duty and responsibility to Keep not only the Dream Alive, But we Must Keep his Legacy alive. To honor Dr. King, we have two events planned.

The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Candlelight March & Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013. The lineup for the Candlelight March will begin at the corner of 16th Street and 31st Avenue ( Dr. Martin Luther King Drive). Line will begin at 6:15 P.M.

The March will proceed to the Historic First Union Missionary Baptist Church, located at 610-38th Avenue, Meridian, MS. Rev. Dr. Melvin J. Hendricks is the Host Pastor.

The Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 P.M.The featured speaker for the Memorial Service will be Rev. Dr. Zachary S. Operton, Pastor of the Prince of Peace Chrisitan Fellowship Church, Meridian , MS.

To highligh this worship experience, musical selections will be rendered by various choirs from the East Mississippi area.
