Meridian Police Searching for Missing Woman

Meridian Police say they are searching for 55-year old Marcia Deloach.

Authorities say Deloach was staying with family in the Meridian area when she was last seen. Family members tell police they last spoke to Deloach on June 17th.

"There's no indication of any foul play or any funny business," Lt. Dean Harper says. "She just disappeared."

Harper tells Newscenter 11 that Deloach was last seen at a fast food restaurant along Frontage Road sometime on June 24th, but he says at this time he cannot reveal exactly which restaurant Deloach was visiting.

"I mean, we don't want the stigma of you go there, you come up missing," Harper adds.

Lt. Harper says while Deloach has not been seen or heard from in over a month, it is not that uncommon for families to wait a while before reporting their loved ones missing.

"Sometimes the family just waits to see if they'll be contacted," he explains. "Or they go about other means of trying to contact their loved ones."

If you have any information about Deloach's whereabouts, you are asked to contact the Meridian Police Department.
