Teen Charged with Capital Murder, Armed Robbery

Meridian Police say they have arrested a teenager for allegedly shooting and killing a man on Wednesday night.

Authorities say 18-year old James Henderson, III shot and killed a Hispanic male in his late 30's or early 40's. Police say the shooting happened around 6:30 at the intersection of 5th Street and 49th Avenue. Lt. Dean Harper says the motive appears to be robbery because the victim's property was in Henderson's possession.

Henderson is being charged with capital murder and armed robbery. He is not eligible for bond.
