Telephone Pioneers Fundraiser Underway

The Bell's Best Annual Cookbook sale is underway.

Members of the Telephone Pioneers will be at the old telephone building, 2310 7th Street across from city hall, through Friday selling the cookbooks and Rada knives. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

This year you may also choose cookbooks that feature the best from Louisiana and Alabama.

"You can't beat these good southern cooks," said Donna Jill Johnson, who retired from Bell. "I have a lot of my mother and grandmother's recipes in this book."

All the money raised from the sale of the cookbooks goes back into the community in support of several different causes.

The cost of the books is $12 and $15. For more information, call 601-917-3727 or 601-483-5448.
