The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department says it assisted the Neshoba County Sheriff's Department and Mississippi Highway Patrol in a high-speed chase on Highway 19 on Saturday night.
Authorities say the chase began in Neshoba County before crossing into Lauderdale County. Investigators tell Newscenter 11 that they spiked the suspect's tires, causing him to wreck near the intersection of Highway 19 and State Blvd. The suspect apparently fled the vehicle on foot, but was quickly captured.
