One Man Shot Following Armed Robbery

A man has been shot at a local bar after an apparent armed robbery on Tuesday night.
An eyewitness tells Newscenter 11 that a man with a gun entered The Neighborhood Bar / Lounge on 1st Street in Meridian around 10:30 and ordered everyone on the floor. The suspect, a black male, allegedly got away with a woman's wallet.
Witnesses say a man attempted to chase the suspect, but the suspect ended up shooting the man. The victim has been transported to a local hospital.
Newscenter 11 is working to gather more information on this still developing story.
