Posted: 8:46 AM Jan 28, 2013
Reporter: The Associated Press

An Alabama man is in custody on several charges after authorities said he passed a Mississippi deputy on Interstate 20 at more than 100 miles per hour early Sunday.

29-year-old Govan Brandon Mills, Boaz, Ala., is being held at the Rankin County Jail on charges of felony fleeing of a marked police car, possession of stolen property, DUI, open container, no driver's license, no insurance and reckless driving.

Sheriff Bryan Bailey said a deputy tried to stop the vehicle, driven by Mills, at the downtown Brandon exit and it continued west on I-20.

The chase continued to Warren County where officers stopped the vehicle. After a short foot pursuit, Mills was arrested.
