Meridian Police say they are investigating the shooting of a teenager.

Investigators say a 19-year old male was shot near the intersection of 55th Avenue and 2nd Street. Authorities tell Newscenter 11 that the victim was taken to Anderson Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim tells police that he did not see who shot him.

Newscenter 11 received a call from someone claiming to be an eyewitness to the shooting, who says they saw a white car with two black males inside, leaving the scene.
